Louisville Suzuki Fall Workshop — Update

The one day Suzuki violin/cello workshop in Louisville will be $35. The registration form is below.

Gabe Bolkosky’s debut solo album, This and That, was released in 2005 to critical acclaim and features both jazz and classical music. Other recordings include The Shape of Klez to Come, The Oblivion Project Live, The Orchestra Is Here to Play, and Non Sequitur (contemporary music). Bolkosky is a sought-after guest artist, performer, and teacher. In May 2008, Bolkosky made his debut at Carnegie Hall. As a member of the Phoenix String Quartet, he is guest artist in residence at the University of Michigan

Ellen Shertzer received a bachelor’s and master’s of music in cello performance from the University of Michigan and has been involved in promoting Suzuki since the mid-70s, when she taught with the Ithaca, New York Talent Education School. Ms. Shertzer was on the National Suzuki Association Board from 1998 – 2003. She currently is the cellist for School House Symphony (six piece professional ensemble that plays concerts in schools) and maintains a private Suzuki cello studio and teaches cello and chamber music worldwide at Suzuki Institutes and String Workshops. In addition, Ms. Shertzer teaches Suzuki cello and directs a cello choir at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music
