About Bethany Watt

Bethany Watt graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music in 2001 with a BM in Musical Arts - Violin with concentrations in pedagogy and voice and honors in music history. She has continued her education with additional training in Suzuki pedagogy from such teachers of note as William Starr, Ed Kreitman, and Edmund Sprunger. She has registered teacher training with the Suzuki Association of the Americas in Violin books 1-4 and is currently a private Suzuki violin teacher in the Lexington, Kentucky area.

In addition to her thriving teaching business, Bethany is also an active performer both in violin and voice throughout the Lexington area. She is a member of the Lexington Community Orchestra as well as performing freelance work throughout central Kentucky. Bethany is also active in several professional organizations and maintains memberships in the Lexington Federated Music Club, where she serves as the State Festival Chairman, as well as the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
